I'm starting to get my T4 setup for the indoor season and hoping someone can give me a starting setup. I'll be running the T4 with a brushless motor in the open class.

I'll run the foam tires everyone else runs.

Thanks

tim

Thanks for the set-up info.
Do you really lock the slipper when you

1) have a very fast truck

2) make a lot of jumps

3) have foam tires with a lot of grip

4) spent $100 on that hot brushless motor????

I thought the slipper was there to save the motor and tranny from abuse of spinning freely in the air on jumps and then hitting a landing bounce that instantly slows down the wheels.

I'd say tighten the slipper, but I don't know about locking it. What does everyone else do??

not locked just extra tight
the slipper is (bla bla bla) with brushless motors that freewheel when not on throttle and you are a good enough driver that in air adjustments are made then your off throttle for landing it's a little different with brush
brushless motors and I'm far from always right wife'in write'in race''in it's just what i've think i thought i learnd

Takt,
Derek and I ran our new T4s at practice on Saturday and they drove very nice with the stock set-up.

30 wt oil
silver springs front, green rear
front arms level, rear dog bones level

After running our T4s on Saturday, I'd still say the stock set-up is fine.

Derek (in open) wanted stiffer springs up front, so we went from silver to blue for him.

30 wt (AE part # 5422) all around, that's what the manual says.

Derek and I both have greens all around, but bought some new blue-green-blue fronts and green rears. Still using our old beater tires for now.
