| I think that we need to work on speeding up the program. We have fallen back into a that hole of late start times and waiting for people between rounds. I am not so sure that 30 min. before the mains is needed either. Any thoughts on possibly starting an hour or two earlier. | |

| The earlier start time wouldn't bother me at all....especially if more people show up each week. I think the break between the heats and main is a good idea, as long as the track gets watered during that time. That's my two cents worth | |

| i agree that we need the 30 minutes in between the heats and the mains so everyone can take a break and fix things while the track is beibg watered. as far as starting earlier i think maybee one hour woould do because some of have a long drive to get to the track. and for us night shift people that means less sleep and less sleep means not as much fun at the track when your that tired. | |

| I agree totally we need to start earlier. I spent 6 hours there and didn't even get to the break between heats and mains.
Some of us have another life other than R/C. My family and I go to the races every Sat. night and it would be nice to do both. I know I'm not going to continue spending all that gas money plus entry fee and not get to finish the program. I drive 75 miles round trip to race and I don't even get to finish the program. This is a club, I think. Everyone needs to get together and say we need to start earlier and finish at a reasonable time. If we can't do that then this might be retirement from racing for me. Don't everyone cheer at once!

| Hey Corey
Mention it to him again. Saturday's are real crazy!!!!!! Some times you have to mention it more than once. A couple of thoughts, Maybe call him at the store or call him on his cell phone or stop in the store during the week. But he is the one that you would want to talk to. I thought after the last brew-ha-ha we were going to talk to rick and ryan direct if we had a problem and not always post it on a public forum ( Look at the problems it caused last time)... Am I wrong!
Also, this is the start of the season and there are always kinks to work out and the day should get better. We were short staffed this week. Ryan and Tabbie had to run the show at the track and rick had to cover at the store ( I was out of town on a family commitment) It is enough work for 2 people to do and there was bound to be delays... So this week should be better. But be ready for a LONG!!!!! Day on the 9th.
Also!! old man. When I need a good laugh I always can get it by reading one of your post!!!! You are tooooooo funny! Now that is really my two cent's worth!!

| i agree with rick and i find it real funny that no one complained last year. even when it was starting to get dark at racer apprecation day and the awards were handed out after dark. everyone was still there. so lets stop all the complainig now and have a great season instead of crying all the time about what time we start. otherwise no one is giong to enjoy themselves. fun is what we are all after. thats my two cents worth. | |

| i think things went smooth for the second week out . track could have been lightly watered before mains.just a thought inbetween heats time seamed to move very fast i do have an idea how about running two 10 min heats then a 15 min mains so if people do want to leave they get the benefit of longer races, pit stops in a shorter day if they stay extra mins on the track if we do get done early everyone can still practice a while afterwards Have a drivers meeting and ask for ideas like that to see what people want to do majority rules don't complain and have some fun | |

| Hey Rick A., how can you say what happened before was BAD or a Problem? We went from a typical 6 hour day down to a 4hour day indoors. It seems to me that, that was progress. As for posting this stuff, isn't that why there is a FORUM, to post what your opinions are and talk about the racing. I was looking to see if there was any objections to starting a little earlier, to find out if it was worth bringing up on Sat. I don't have a problem here, just a suggestion. And I will talk to Ryan about it if someone already hasn't, But aren't you the COMM. Director? I think that a concrete start time and minimall breaks will impress alot of drivers( not alot of wasted time ). If you are driving an hour to get there, that 2 hours of windshied time just to race. I think that the guys making that trip would love to have a smooth race day( along with the locals ). So far I have heard that all of the Pro series races have had alot of program trouble. I think that more people would want to come back and race if they were impressed and happy. Most people don't enjoy doing nothing for a period of time while at the track. You can only practice and fix your car for so long. | |

| Crowd Pleaser, you would make a good PR man for Rick A.
Corey and I and whoever else are just asking if the program can start earlier. No one is complaining. As far as appreciation day, that was Oct8. All races and most summer events are over. Plus everyone had advance notice that the program would last a long time. Besides Rick and Ryan M. and Rick A. I have been with the club longer than anyone racing there right now. I have left early many weeks to be with my family. So give it a break about complaining. Ryan and Rick do a great job, I've always said that. Maybe if people would come to the track ready to race and not wait until they can have someone else at the track work on their trucks, we wouldn't have alot of the delays. One idea would be if there are more than one heat per round for a class like the size of Truggy, maybe they should only run 2 heats instead of 3.

| Hey Corey!
I know this is a forum and you have every right to post your feelings and your thoughts and concerns and I hope you do. The point I was trying to make is that Rick and Ryan are so horribly busy with everything else that they have going on that they are on these forums very little and I was trying to give you a better way to communciate with them. This is in my opinon and this is strictly my opinon all the constant complaining does is make anyone who is a new racer shy away from comming to see us and see the good of cheese city x-treme rc " Which there is alot of!!!). I know I am the "Unoffical" Communcations and marketing guy but it makes my job a little bit harder if we are always fighting fires and trying to keep everyone happy and yet keeping our immage looking good at the same time.
I know it has been a long race day the last couple of week. But man give us a break!!! At the start of every year especially when we flip from inside to outside we have to get into a rythem and get everything working right. I know there are areas to improve on and we will and it will make a difference. We may have to alter the program a little bit( ie two heats.. shorter breakes ETC..ETC..) because we are continuing to get bigger and bigger and doing a quick program gets harder and harder... This is a decision that Rick and Ryan strongly will have to look at.
All I am saying man is just be paitent and it will get better!! At least I hope so....
This is the last of my two cents worth on this subject I will not take this any farther.....

| For my two cents worth I would like to personally thank Rick, Ryan, and the rest of the crew at cheese city extreme rc for giving us a place to play!! I know the day at the track can get long but if we keep fighting about how long it is we will never have any fun!! So with that being said lets just all suck it up and enjoy our hobby for what it is, A hobby!! If I was worried about how long the day was going to be I would not bring my 6yr old boy to the track with me!! So in that case call me the devils advocate but I say lets worry more about racing and less about bitchin!! As for the down time between races if you do your job and marshal and help at the start gate you don't have hardly even enough time to maintain your truck let alone repair it between rounds!!! The other thing is I would like to thank everyone who put time in to changing or maintaining the track with out you we would not have one to run on at all Along with that if you don't do the time don't bitch about the layout either!! | |

| ok....a simple comment has turned into craziness again plain and simple...the more all of us help out rick and ryan....the better everything will run. It's only the 2nd week of the season. We know it's going to be long days, no matter what, especially with more and more people racing. I know myself personally....I was out marshalling for almost every class, except for when I was racing. Obviously I was able to do that more cause I didn't have any breaks or problems....but if I did...I would really need that extra time between the heats and mains to repair my truck. I just think we all need to do our part...and if we do...it will run smoother and be quicker examples... everyone have their vehicles ready for their heat race...and I'm sure we won't need the entire 5 minutes inbetween. as much as we enjoy just kicking back and relaxing between our heats....go out and marshal or go to the gate to help the other heats get started sooner. any extra effort that we all can put in during the race day...the more it will help the day go along...without just relying on rick and ryan to do everything. *plus they are also trying to have a little fun and race themselves, along with running the entire program* I know there's more that I can do also to help out....and I'm gonna try to do more so it can go smoother......and to allow rick and ryan to have some fun racing as well. | |

Yep --- I didn't think the comment was anything more then a suggestion ... no need to get defensive. - Mansonfish wrote:

I agree completely. So will it seem rude (for lack of a better term) to offer to help out, or should we wait to be asked? Not marshalling ... we all should marshall. Other parts. - xtremerc wrote:

Rick, while I understand your point, the other side is those guys that do come to race with us (and don't live in Monroe) get frustrated if racing isn't quick and smooth. They have a lot of windshield time in front of them ... we gotta make it easy for them to come back. When you visit other tracks forums, they have the same problem. If we can fix it, we can gain racers ... which is what everyone wants (I think).

| I am no longer commenting on this situation. and Am ending this right now... Track decisions are Ryan's and Rick and the Clubs (not mine or yours or such and such and so and so's !!!). I'm sure a meeting will be held and all of this will be figured out. I just figure there are better ways to handle things some times and will carry this on no farther. I hope you did call ryan and I hope you are one of the first to be on the bandwagon to help from now on. It will make things alot easier.
Runkle. I did mean it has a complement. I will race again someday!!!!!!! As I said I was out of town last week. I am there every week and we all know my driving sucks anyway!!! ra
