| OK, I'll start with some "out of the box suggestions". I don't know if these are good ideas or not, but just something to think about.
6 minute qualifers and 8 minute mains for all classes except Sportsman and Mini-t which would be 4 min quals and 5 minute mains.
Car classes: Sportsman Stock sedan (including 13.5 brushless) Tamiya mini
Truck classes: Sportsman Stock (including 13.5 brushless) Open Mini-T
Would it make sense to run cars together, then trucks to save on track changeover? Run cars maybe noon till 3pm, then changeover, then trucks 3:30pm till 6:30pm. For those of us running both, it would still be a long day, but if someone wanted to just run cars or trucks one day, they could be in and out in 3 hours instead of 6 or 7. Just a thought.
Another advantage of doing this is we could set up relatively open track layouts for the 3.5 brushless truck maniacs, but have tighter more technical track layouts for touring cars.
Start on time, and have a set time between races, and stick to it. I think that keeps everyone happy. Marshall when you are supposed to. Lose a starting position in the main or get docked points if you don't marshall when needed.
What about open practice on the track? One or two nights a week till maybe 8pm would be great.

| This may not be a high priority, but the winter meeting may be a good time to discuss this....
What are the expectations for people who pay a membership to Cheese City? Last year I heard that as a club member people were expected to help with set up and clean up. I don't have a problem with that, but I guess no one ever told me the club rules.
So, I'm not disagreeing with anything or trying to cause a problem, but this meeting may be a great time to hand out guidelines, rules, expectations, and benefits of paying the membership fee.

| Good thoughts Scott. I am undecided on spliting the sedans and truck. We have thrown out the ideas of hooks on the walls to hang the jumps when we switch over to sedans. That solves the jump switch-a-roo, but the track would have to be a very similar layout.
I do think we should get started earlier than 12:ish. Even if people travel for an hour or two, we could still have our drivers meeting between 10-10:30 and begin racing at 10:30-11:00. I used to get up early to drive to Madison on Sunday morns.
As far as classes, we will have to see how many "Stock and sportsman" stadiums there are. I love the idea of separating the beginners, but at the beginning of the season last winter there were only a small handful of stock/beginning stadium. That is the reason I went to "open". It just wasn't fun to race Dante for first or second every race.
Just a few of my thoughts

| I hadn't thought of that, but starting before 12 or 12:30 would be great. Then we can race for 6 hours and still get home in time to do other things.
Now that the carpet will be out already, the track layout and jumps could be set up on Friday night.
So, to make it official, here's a winter meeting item to discuss:
Move start time from 12:30pm to 11:00am.

| Crowd Pleaser,
We used to run stock stadium - mod stadium - e-maxx monster trucks. That was in the begining of indoor, when indoor was alot of fun. But times have changed. Too bad.

Nino, didn't you mean you didn't like getting beat by Dante??????? You know he had much better electronics than me. I was running an old crappy stock motor with stick packs. Not much competition for your motors and match packs. Things have now changed, and my equipment has improved. I guess I have no more excuses except for my bad driving.

More competition? A permanant indoor track? Concessions with BIG cups? Your right that doesn't sound like much fun. It's good to have some more people talking on here. Hey Roger, are we going to see you indoors?

| Nino,
Dante said he wanted to race, so maybe I'll put all the good stuff in his car and let him rip.

| I won't be able to race on the first either. I have two shows with my kids, one at 1:00 and the other at 6:00. I hate having to work on race days.
Roger: It would be nice to see you and Dante and the track. I will race everyone equally, I also find it hard to believe Scott took you out on purpose.

| Thanks for the kind words Nino. Roger, I don't remember the incident, but if I did ram you in the rear it was due to lack of driving skill on my part, not me being a goon. But, I'll take one in the rear so to speak, if that's what it will take to get you and Dante racing indoor. Just let me know when you plan to race and I'll be sure to mount a big rear bumper on my truck . Hopefully you and Dante will make it out for some good times at the track. I'm tired of writing about RC racing on forums, I wanna drive. Can't wait for Saturday. | |

| Another topic to discuss at the winter meeting: Practice days, times, and costs.
If I remember right, the store/track is open to 6pm most nights. If possible, it would be great if the track was open for practice 2-3 evenings per week, even if just till 8pm. By the time I get out of work pack my stuff and get to Monroe it will be almost 6pm.
Free practice would be fantastic, but I know that the new track wasn't free, so I'd be OK paying something to practice (or upping the annual membership fee and members get free practice).
Rick or Ryan, can you share any info on the topic of track practice on non-race days?
Thanks. | |

| Hey Scott;
You make a valid point and one I will discuss with them. I could see the track being open at least two nights until 8 p.m. or so. Maybe 3. Something like a Monday, Wednesday & Friday kind of thing.
I can tell you right now Yes!!! There will be a fee for practice, It won’t be a lot thought (one amount for members- another for non-members) we will officially release the amounts and practice times on Saturday and then I will post them on this forum as well.
Thanks

| I do not like the idea of spliting cars and trucks if a friend wants to come with he might have a car or truck and we can't hang out because time. I was planing on becoming a member this year and as one of the job for all members is to remove and install jumps. hanging jumps is one option but i beleive there will be a BLIND SPOT to the left of drivers stand if all the guys are standing in a row far right can't see n.e. corner so jumps could go there I think keeping rules as close to other track rules as possible would be good so others could show up slap foams on for trucks and race with us the more people we can have show up the better for us and discount america Wouldn't everyone like to see some special races(arematch) or (hurrician) series stop maybe our own event pick a weekend that ( ts,rcp, dirt, reeds,) doesn't have anything going on and host something CHEESE CITY CLASSIC some door prizes raffle big cup quilifers maybe entry fee pay back for top 3 now that theres a home track we should make it happen but we need the rules compatable soooooo stock sedan rubber 27turn or13.5 enough cars to split splitem if not run together mod sedan rubber
mini coopers stock trs rules
mini t or 18 scale stock
stock truck 27 turn or 13.5 enough to split c cell bats only
mod truck
monster trucks show up run em
if enough sportsman show up you can creat a class if not it's a mobil schcain
please no email on grammer'spelling, or little coma things it took 2 captains to type all this
see ya sat have the a arms ready thats a long straitaway

I'm sure we'll get it figured out, and I'll bet it will change some as we go, but the good news is we'll be racing soon.

| Racing pretty soon?????????
That would be a first. Last year was nothing but a BASHERS PARADISE!
Too many classes, too many cars in each race and way too much time spend at a track on a Saturday. Run trucks one day and run the other classes another day. When you drive 70 miles round trip, spend $50-$60 a weekend on gas and food and fees, you should be able to have a little fun.
